Vested Interest

January was a sad time for me. My best friend B left to go live in the USA and I do miss her a lot.

The ONLY thing that was good about her departure was she left me a lot of "hand me downs". Something I didn't even have as a kid (being the oldest and biggest!!)

She left me a load of pants that I'm going to pick through once the weather isn't so hot that I'm melting into a puddle. What I have loved the most though are the vests and jackets she has given me.

This vest has to be one of my favourites. Thanks B xxx Miss you!!

You've probably noticed my hair is looking different. It still has the shorter back to it.. but I really don't like the style at the front. I do love that I can tie it back for the gym, but that's about it. I may be changing back to the old style in a few weeks .. We'll see how persuasive the hairdresser is.

It's Me!!

Well .. it's Mii!

Part of the reason I haven't posted pictures is that I've been busy playing with my new Wii Fit Plus and my EA Sports Active trainer.

Most days I get up, try to fit in 20 minutes workout and I then rush about to get ready for work having no time for makeup let alone morning photos.

I get home and change into tights and a baggy tshirt for another 40 minutes and oops.. I realise I still forgot to take a photo.

I have one picture (on my other laptop) to post so hopefully I'll get that charged up tomorrow.

Hopefully this slacko will be back.... umm or else it might become a Wii Fit blog for a while :D

xxx Thanks for all those kind messages I've received lately xxx

Bad Bad Girl

Thankyou to those that keep popping by to check if I've posted anything again!!

I haven't forgotten about this blog. I stayed at my parents house into the New Year and then I was back and catching up with a few friends and then going into work for 4 days :( of my holidays.

The boy has just gone home after another 2 weeks here and we got to go on a mini break to the coast. Unfortunately I forgot to take my camera cable and it was full of pictures of bits and pieces I didn't want to delete so I only ended up with 3 holiday pics.. none of me!!

Anyway since it's been so long I just wanted to make a quick post to say I still intend to post again soon.

For the moment I'm working with the new kindy kids while their teachers are doing enrollments and I am in jeans and old tshirts with no intention of taking pictures of my "finger painting clothes".

Thanks again for visiting.

Christmas Time!

I'm as busy as heck at the moment, and The Boy is staying with me.

I'm on holidays now and I'm mostly hanging around in my PJ's until it's time to go and since we're going to the pool/beach a lot I'm not putting makeup on or doing much to my hair!!

After New Year though I'll probably be back to more regular posting (especially since one thing I'm asking for is a tripod from Santa!). In between then I'll be travelling to see my Parents and stay there for a very very very quiet New Year (Pubs close their normal hours down there, so since it's a week night.. probably 9pm *LOL*)

I'd like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. For those of you travelling, may your journeys be safe and I look forward to when I have more time to READ (not just look at the piccies) your blogs again.

And just because I like to add pictures to my posts, here's a picture of me and some girls from the Curvy Chic forum (link to the right)at our Christmas Meetup. Some of us have met a number of times now, so it's more like catching up with friends than a forum meetup.

The end of the school year is near. Things are starting to wind down and today was a special presentation day for some of our students.

I was going to save this dress for Christmas but I couldn't wait to wear it any longer. I bought it via Etsy and it took a meer 10 days to be made to my own measurements and arrive on my doorstep from Thailand.

I really love this dress, it's comfy and the material is thick enough that I don't a slip under it. I'll be ordering more dresses in different styles and material in the near future.

I've heard some recent accounts of the chemicals in sunscreen and why they are bad for us.

I put some on under my makeup today as I knew I'd be spending a fair amount of time outdoors (such a perfect day, I wish all of summer was like today!). Somehow I rubbed sunscreen into my eye and a few hours later it's still red. Haa, it may be for sensitive skin, but it's not for sensitive eyes!!

This is a dress from Target's new Moda range. A few girls from the Curvy Chic forum have it. It comes in some cute colours like blue, coral and wine... but the black is the only version I saw.

I wore this to have lunch with some female friends and then a walk near the river and then off to the pub for the very best lemon, lime and bitters with my best male friend.

Dress: Targer
Shrug: Target
Necklace: Ebay
Shoes: Kmart (yeah yeah they're in almost all the posts but since I lost my toenail they're the best ones for wearing, and also they're very comfy and quiet fine for a walk)

Bird Brain

Told you I was bird watching.....

Okay well the bird is fake, but I love it just the same! Hee hee

Had my hair cut today and it's a bit different to usual. The fact that the front is still like before makes me feel a little safer about it.

I went to find a skirt in my wardrobe and discovered this top. It's about 2 sizes too big and 2 inches too short and I thought I'd returned it. I guess the fact that I love the pattern meant I was hoping to do something else with it.

What do you think though? Can I get away with wearing it like this (Over the black lining that I'd cut out of another dress)? My other option is to turn it into a skirt. I do so love the little bits of blue and green on it.
